„Im Namen der Dose“ is a tragic-comedic analysis of an individual who has become an outsider in our hasty, rapid world. Inspired by Luigi Pirandellos' 1914 novel “Il treno ha fischiato”, we follow the the story of “Her”.

One day, through a mixture of curiosity, spontaneity and coincidence, she finds a can. As a result, she falls into a mind-state of seduction and desire: A new flat begins to resemble a gilded cage whilst her seemingly lucrative job around the corner is defining her very existence. Little does she know, that over the next few days she will be transformed into a completely different person, a person who will have to decide: yourself or the can?

Self-dissolution is triggered by the can's opening. This central theme is the representation of the world as an inescapable social network. Questions arise for her: Who governs my life? Would this external governance have been preventable? At what point and where about?

At the end she makes her decision.

A play about finding your own identity and developing a self-determination which gives you passion and courage to live a life true to yourself, regardless of others' attempts at manipulation and machinations.
